So this is the first one...
So i'm testing this out - hopefully I can replace the diary page on my old site with something a bit more exciting thru here... lots more pictures and fun stuff - just a bit of a portal into what i get up to all day. Hopefully this works out nicer, it certainly looks better than raw, badly formatted text the olDDDD way...
I'll be developing it over the next few weeks and making changes and stuff. Any suggestions email me at jb@john-b.com - hope u like it anyway folks...

Right then - so, I'm back from America...
Got back from a week in USA, just 3 gigs, in DC, Springfield MA, and Baltimore (at Sonar, my new residency). Had a good time out there, met up with some frrriends, and the events went really well. The new material I'd been working on before I left sounded good and was well received, which is nice... Esp the remix i did for LTJ Bukem's label, and the new versions I did of 'Hey Mickey' and 'Celebrity'. From a month ago - Berkely Cafe in Raleigh, NC, USA
Here's a couple of picures from back last month when i played in NC. It was a really good night, but almost wasn't. THere was a crazy rainstorm and flash floods, and peopel moppign up inside the venue b4 i got there, and the water i drank in my hotel was really bad and made me ill too and i was pooooing loads, but was ok by the time of the gig. Had a great time in the end, and must have talked to almost everyone personally by the time it was over. Nice. Found a cool guy with similar hair and DKs Tshirt so took a pic, and also one of the whole crowD. BOHHHselecktaRrrr.

Tuesday - many tasks
I'm pretty sure I'm jetlagged, possibly reset my alarm a record number of times this morning - woke up at 2pm just in time for Quincy ME, my hero. The most mighty forensic pathologist of all time. Listening to the Sonar 2003 compiltation right now. Woke up with suprisingly good hair. Have many, many tasks to do today, so I can't write much... I gotta take my car in for a service and MOT test, go thru all the post and invoice things that arrrived last week while I was in the USA, go to the bank and change my dollars, and undoubtedly get riPPed off - exchange rates are sooo lame right now. Then I gotta get my designer dude to do some label artwork for the next batch of releases on my labels, then there's more stuff to send off to get mastered, a remix to finish for Good Lookin Records, and I gotta do a Radio mix of a Latin track I did that's had some mainstream interest, aaaaaand I need to go to the gym and pick up some more post from the sorting office, hopefully my new Duran Duran 'Rio' Shirt - whoooohoooo! I've been trying to find some funny old photos to post on here - here's a couple for the time being: Me back in '98 at the Music House Dub Plate studio place in Holloway. In my chuBBy days...  And another, I think about 18 months ago in Houston, in a very hot club and my hair got all mashed up - but it was fancy dress and people had John B wigs that were better than mine. DangeRRRRR.  God I look like such a Dick. Arggg.

The guys in Nashville filmed my set there on 6th July with a few different cameras and edited it all up - looks really good, and one of my best sets this year too, and a really good crowd - checkkkkkit out yo!

Pictures from Five in DC, and General things today
My friend Benco - from DC sent a bunch of photos he took while I was playing at club Five in DC last week so I've editied them down and will post below - thanks a lot mate! Turned out really good I guess... It takes a lot of skill to make me look half decent these days... Didn't get much done today, I was still too jetlaGGed to function properLy. Got thru all my admin and stuff, got the car booked for MOT, sorted out the studio, ordered some CDRs, and decided to finally buy an Xbox, put a bottle of wine the freezer to chill and forgot about it, then went up to Marlow with my mate Steve to harrass our mate Jack at the mexican bar where he works. Had a few drinks and checked out some of the bars there. Found one that was mysteriously quiet, like a library with a bar, very strange. I asked the barman if he had creme de cacau and vanilla vodka so i could have a choclate marini, but he looked at me like i was a martian. So i had a beer. back home now, its 1am, and i'm wide awake - so i guess that's offically jetlagged, or just back to the old nocturnal regime. Gonna go up to London 2moro to have drinks with some friends and possibly meet up with a couple of the guys from Blue and So Solid crew (not met them b4) and gonna drag them to nagnagnag and then Swerve for some DnB if we're having a laugh. Should be funnnnnn. ok so heres benco's pics from DC anyway, and one of my studio...
